SYNOPSIS
Missy, a young Brisbanite, rushes to get her clothes off the line before a storm hits. But she never anticipated The Bindii Wizard to stand in her way…
Missy Leon is a twenty-one-year-old slob living in a dingy Brisbane share house. Thunder strikes and she realises a storm is on its way. THE WASHING! Left there for weeks, dry as a bone and itching to get wet. Stumbling through the house, one by one she distrust her housemate’s peace. No one’s more upset than Adriana, Missy’s “perfect” housemate who’s over the antics. Heads clash and Adriana slams the door, leaving Missy to deal with her own crap.
Pissed as ever, Missy marches on but halts at her backyard enemy – the Bindii. The most feared weed in Australia. Reminiscing on her painful, past mistakes from stepping on one, she stomps forward. Darting throughout the yard, she curses out at Adriana How unfair is that? She’s absolutely swamped! From work to uni, she doesn’t have time to take care of menial housework. Amidst her rage, Missy loses focus and impales her foot on the sharpest Bindii in the backyard.
In a flash of light, a stranger of green and grub towers over her. He is, THE BINDII WIZARD – a derro demon from the down-underworld. One look around tells him this backyard is right for the taking, and Missy’s negligence is his ammunition. Before she can process or protest, the seeds have been sown for a takeover. She can’t even mow the lawn, let alone take on an army of Biniions! Can Missy defeat the Bindii Wizard, or will it end in soggy socks and furious friends?
